  • Welcome to the

    Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program

The Neurosurgeon Research Career Development Program (NRCDP) of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a faculty training initiative that supports the research and career development of junior neurosurgeon-investigators nationwide through K12 funding. The NRCDP aims to strengthen the future of neurosurgical research by fostering the careers of promising early-stage investigators. It is overseen by a National Advisory Committee composed of 12 Department Chairs or Vice-Chairs recognized for their research achievements, along with several renowned neurosurgeon-scientists.
